Basic Information

Downscaled climate change datasets for the Sierra Nevada including temperature, precipitation, vegetation change, snowpack, runoff, recharge, climatic water deficit, and wildfire. GFDL and PCM climate models downscaled to 270m. This downscaled data was created to support the Climate Adaptation Project for the Sierra Nevada, a collaborative effort between EcoAdapt, the Geos Institute, Conservation Biology Institute, and the U.S. Forest Service and funded by the California Landscape Conservation Cooperative (CA LCC). For additional maps and information about this project, please see the group page on Data Basin: EcoAdapt-CALCC: Climate Adaptation Project for the Sierra Nevada.

Parameters / Choices
A dataset often contains many geodata layers representing the same kind of measurement, but for different values of some parameters - time periods, models or scenarios, different species, etc. A value must be chosen for each such parameter in order to select a specific layer or raster which associated a single value with each geographic location (cell). The parameters or choices relevant to selecting layers from this dataset are described here.
